Thermal Clad Ltd started a project in June 2010 for Chilton Biomass Energy Centre. With much publicity surrounding the use of biomass as energy, this proved a unique opportunity for Thermal Clad to enter into the renewable energy industry with any natural materials used as biomass energy sources.
Here at Chilton Biomass Energy Centre, up to 18 members of the Thermal Clad team set to work installing an ESP (Electrostatic Precipitator) Unit. This recycles dust from the boiler filtering out any poisonous fumes creating building material such as breeze block that can used in the building process.
“This was an extremely interesting project at Chilton Biomass Energy Centre,” explained Kevin Cartridge, Managing Director of Thermal Clad Ltd. “Not only were we working for a renewable energy company but we were installing an innovative device that would recycle dust into productive manufacturing material whilst keeping the workforce healthy and safe.”
“This was a fantastic opportunity to enter into the renewable energy industry and enabled us to showcase the professional standards we adhere to. Chilton Biomass Energy Centre was extremely pleased with the work we have now completed and this sure to open doors into similar industries in the future.”
